Bayou woman and wife to Jubal in Louisiana[1] in 1879 (November 10, 1840 – June 1, 1910)[2]

A simple woman, raised in the bayou country near New Orleans. An attractive woman in her youth, she was sought after by many young bayou men.[1] In 1858, Jubal fought for her hand and the two were married. She continued to gain weight through her 20s and 30s,[2] but Jubal always considered her beautiful. She was widowed[1] in April of 1879[2] when Jubal was shot and killed by Jody Collins.[1]
