Benny Baker got his start in show business in vaudeville during the 1920s. early in his film career, he shared the screen with Betty Grable and appeared in several Hal Roach comedies. He portrayed Haywood Holbrook in "Paint Your Wagon" (1969), the man who presided over the marriage of Ben Rumson to Elizabeth Woodling, conducted under mining law.[1]
