A very proper and service-minded employee, and loyal to Belle Morgan.[1]

During Bart Maverick's stay at the Bella Union[1] in August[2] and September of 1872, Barnes facilitated the search for Belle's missing terrier, Yum Yum, inquired after the name of the doctor that reportedly treated Bart's injured hand, secured Bart's cash during his hotel stay and accommodated Bart's outgoing and incoming telegrams.[1]
