In July of 1877, Bret Maverick tracked Steve Corbett to Roul Gireaux's Corpus Christi residence at 4 Charing Road. There, he found Corbett had confessed to stealing silver from the House of Gireaux and killing Victor Gireaux in his escape in New Orleans a year earlier. [1]
