Colt 1851 Navy revolver

 

Cap and ball revolver, .36-caliber single-action, designed by Samuel Colt between 1848 and 1850.[1]

 

 

 

Ghost Rider: In 1872, Bert Nicholson told Bret Maverick he owned a Colt .38 revolver which he didn't remember to carry half the time.[3] As a .38, it was likely a conversion of the original 1851 Navy.[4]
