Pat Comiskey entered the public world as a boxer, and remained undefeated in his first 28 matches. His promising career in the ring took a downward turn after his defeat by Max Bare in September of 1940. He went on to play boxers, heavies and bodyguards in film and television from the mid- to late 1950s.[1]
