Ted de Corsia began his acting career in touring stage companies and radio. In film, his imposing stature, native New York toughness and gravelly voice landed him many roles as heavies and other tough-guy roles. His first film role was that of the memorable killer in "The Lady from Shanghai." He appeared in many television productions into the early 1970s.[1]
