Declaration of Independence
Historic document declaring the thirteen original American colonies regarded themselves as thirteen sovereign states independent of British rule, ratified by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776.[1]
Escape to Tampico: Steve Corbett displayed a facsimile of the Declaration of Independence behind his desk in his private office at La Cantina Americana in Tampico, Mexico, in 1877.[3]
