sea sickness

Motion sickness causing nausea, dizziness and sometimes vomiting, brought on by the rocking or swaying of a vessel at sea.[1]

The Wrecker: In December of 1871,[2] Bart Maverick shipped aboard the Norah Creina bound for Midway Island. In his quarters, shortly after his departure from San Francisco, he found himself terribly seasick. When Paul Carthew brought him a meal, Bart was so nauseous, he threw him out of his quarters. Sometime later in the day, Bart recovered from the bout and was not troubled by it again.[3]
