Leslie Martinson began writing for film in 1947, mostly Westerns and adventure stories. From 1950 – 1980, he wrote for television, including many Warner Brothers Studios westerns, as well as other classic series such as "The Mark of Gideon" for Star Trek (1969) and several episodes for The Flying Nun and Hawaii Five-O.[2]
