Karl Swenson began acting in radio dramas in the late 1930s. His career in television brought him dozens of rugged character roles, as well as some notable films such as "The Birds" and "The Sons of Katie Elder." He is probably best remembered for his recurring role as Lars Hanson on Little House on the Prairie.[1]
