Joan Vohs started in show business as a Rockette at age 16 and as a glamor model before she got into acting. Early on, she often played models and dumb blondes, and found it difficult to break out of that typecasting. In the late 1960s, she was married to John G. Stephens, the production manager on My Three Sons and Family Affair. After having recurring roles on both of those series, she retired from acting to raise her family.[1]
