Richard Webb began his acting career in film in 1940 and got into television roles in 1950. He is best known starring in the titular role in the television series Captain Midnight from 1954-56. He continued as a character actor, mostly in television, until 1977. He wrote several books on supernatural subjects. After a long-term respiratory illness, he committed suicide in 1993.[1]
