Jim Bannon began his career as a radio sportscaster in Kansas City. After moiving to California in 1938, he worked as a radio actor and stuntman in films. In 1945, he landed the lead role of Jack Packard in a series of films based on the radio drama I Love a Mystery. He also played the recurring television characters in the mid-50s of Sandy North in The Adventures of Champion and Sheriff Tom Tynes in Casey Jones, as well as numerous other character roles in television series into the mid-1960s.[1]
