One of the French Quarter casinos in which Bret Maverick played poker in June of 1877, resulting in losing his emergency thousand-dollar bill. It was here that Rene Gireux witnessed Bret losing his last dollar and realized that now bankrupt, Bret might be easily enticed to bring Steve Corbett to justice.[1]
