Little is known of Elbert Connors, other than he was the challenger to incumbent Richard Bixby in the Echo Springs election of 1870. Connors received 97 votes to Bixby’s 323, but both lost to a write-in candidate, Joshua Thayer, who won with 703 votes.[1]
