Richard Crane rose to play the male lead in 1940s' film during World War II, when most of Hollywood's established leading men were serving in the military. His lead status declined after the war, but he became a frequent character actor in many television series through the 1950s and '60s. He is best known for his titular role in the 1954 series Rocky Jones, Space Ranger.[1]
