Leading citizen of Grantsville, Utah Territory,[1] in 1876. (June 8, 1827June 2, 1896)[2]

 

On the morning of July 4, 1876, Dixon stood behind Judge Somervell at the podium as Somervell gave an Independence Day speech in the streets of Grantsville. He also attended the Judge and Janet Kilmer as the boarded the stagecoach[1] departing for Salt Lake City[2] that same morning.[1]
