Fred Fowler presents Steve Corbett with his business card from Fowler Furniture at La Cantina Americana, Tampico, Mexico, 1877.[2]
Fowler Furniture
Furniture business in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 1877.[1]
Established by Fred Fowler. The business was lucrative enough to send Fowler to distant markets to represent and sell his furniture.[1]
In July of 1877, Fowler took a business trip to Tampico, Mexico, and placed all of his spending, including gambling at La Cantina Americana, on his company's expense account.[1]
