Greenbrier
Aattorney for Rufus Elgree and the Great Western Railroad in King City,[1] Kansas,[2] in 1872.[1] (June 8, 1822 – June 2, 1892)[2]
Wealthy associate of Rufus Elgree, Belle Morgan, and other King City millionaires, and member of Elgree's exclusive nightly poker club at the Bella Union Hotel.[1]
In August and September of 1872, Greenbrier played poker with Bart Maverick after Belle convinced Elgree to invite Bart into their nightly games. After Bart and Roy Stafford confronted Elgree with witnesses against the Great Western Railroad's plot to destroy Brasada Spur property along its route, Greenbrier advised Elgree to accept responsibility for the damage to Brasada Spur and pay the punitive fees to avoid going to jail.[1]
