Hal Hopper got his start in television in 1955 doing voice effects of The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin and appeared in bit and character roles into the early 1970s. He was also an accomplished composer, writing scores for several television series, as well as a screen writer, having written the screenplay for 1968's "Shalako," based on a Louis L'Amour novel and starring Sean Connery. Hopper was also the uncle to Jay North of Dennis the Menace fame.[1]
