hotel clerk
Hotel clerk at a Corpus Christi hotel in 1877.[1] (October 26, 1837 – March 19, 1907)[2]
In July of 1877, Steve Corbett arrived in Corpus Christi searching for Amy Lawrence and the hotel clerk registered him as a guest at the hotel. A few days later, Bret Maverick tracked Corbett to the hotel. The clerk told Bret that Corbett had just left twenty minutes earlier, but wouldn't tell him where he went. Bret bribed him for the information, and the clerk informed Bret that Corbett had gone to find Amy at #4 Charing Road.[1]
