Hotel clerk at the Palace Hotel in White Rock, Texas in 1872.[1] (February 24, 1819 – January 14, 1893)[2]
Well-known to the residents of White Rock and always friendly to guests of the hotel.[1]
On June 12, 1872, Bret Maverick checked in to the Palace Hotel. The next evening, Felton registered at the hotel under the alias of Hank Foster. Felton saw Bret's name in the registry and began asking questions of the clerk. The clerk's information led Felton to Bert Nicholson.[1]
