McClure, Judge
District Judge under the jurisdiction of the Fifth Circuit of the United States in 1872.[1]
Assigned by Circuit Court Judge William Burnham Woods to travel the portion of the Fifth Circuit[1] that included White Rock, Texas. Known for his leniency in capital crimes.[2]
On June 17, 1872, Judge McClure held court in White Rock, Texas for the trail against Felton for the murders of Bert Nicholson and Deputy George. McClure sentenced Felton to hang for the crimes the next day.[1]
