Wagon route traveled by Mormon Pioneers from 1848 – 1868.[1]
Sometimes referred to by residents in Utah Territory as the Old Wagon Road. Extends from Nuavoo, Illinois through Iowa, Nebraska, Wyoming Territory to Salt Lake City, Utah Territory.[1]
The Thirty-Ninth Star: In of July 4, 1876, Bart Maverick and Janet Kilmer tracked Quincy Bigelow along a stretch of the Old Wagon Road[2] northeast of Salt Lake City into the ghost town of Gifford.[3]
