Mumford, George Hart
American businessman and Vice President and Secretary of the Western Union Telegraph Company in New York City from 1871 – 1875. (September 21, 1840 – July 25, 1875)[1]
Brasada Spur: On September 14, 1872, Rufus Elgree received a Western Union telegram from "Blackburn" in Chicago. The masthead of the telegram listed Mumford as Secretary of the Western Union Telegraph Company.[2]
