Younger brother of actor Rex Reason, Rhodes got his acting start at the age of 18 under the directorship of Charles Laughton in a stage performance of "Romeo and Juliet". He appeared in film and television through to 1950s until 1977, and is well-known for his role as Flavius, the Roman television gladiator in Star Trek's "Bread and Circuses" in 1968.[1]
