Rivage, Anton
Attorney to Henri Devereaux in New Orleans[1] in 1879. (November 17, 1823 – March 13, 1907)[2]
In April of 1879,[2] Rivage consulted with Henri Devereaux on the matter of the kidnapping of Devereaux's daughter, Yvette. At police headquarters, as Inspector Marvin gave his policemen orders to search the French Quarter for Yvette and her abductors, Rivage encouraged Devereaux to offer a reward for Yvette's safe return. Later in the evening at Devereaux's town suite at the Hotel Royale, Bart Maverick explained that he knew Yvette had been kidnapped by Jody Collins and his men and produced her necklace as proof that he knew where she was being held. Rivage questioned Bart as to why he would act as Collins' messenger if he were not in league with Yvette's abductors.[1]
