Buddy Roosevelt was born Kenneth Stanhiope Sanderson. Buddy was cast as the titular role in 1928's "The Cisco Kid," but broke his leg shortly before the production began. The role went to Warner Baxter, who went on to win an Oscar. A few years later, Paul malvern approached Buddy about starring in a series of low-budget westerns, but his wife complained about the low pay and Buddy was dropped from negotiations. instead, Malvern turned to the young John Wayne who jumped at the opportunity. buddy continued on in bit parts and stuntwork into the early 1960s.[1]
