Sergeant
Police sergeant in New Orleans[1] in 1879. (November 10, 1837 – June 1, 1907)[2]
At Police Headquarters in April of 1879,[2] Inspector Marvin beat Bart Maverick with his bare fists to get Bart to reveal the location of Jody Collins' hideout where he and his men were holding Yvette Devereaux and Brother Bret hostage. The sergeant stood by as reinforcement for Marvin, and threw water on Bart's face to keep him conscious. When Henri Devereaux arrived and saw Bart had been beaten and still had not given the location of the hideout, he ordered Marvin to release him at once. Marvin directed the sergeant to unshackle Bart's restraints.[1]
