Maverick Actor
Mickey Simpson's enormous size led him to many character roles as guards, cops and thugs. Having moved to Los Angeles, he was hired as Claudette Colbert for a short time. After World War II, he returned to Hollywood and won a small but significant role in John Ford's 1946 film, "My Darling Clementine." It led to several Ford films.
