Tuckeroo, Doctor
Imaginary doctor who treated Bart Maverick's dog bite in King City,[1] Kansas,[2] in 1872.[1]
Invented by Bart Maverick[1] in August of 1872[2] when Belle Morgan insisted on paying for the injury he sustained while rescuing her beloved terrier, Yum Yum, from a vicious bullmastiff in the Bella Union Hotel garden.[1]
Bart told Dr. Ellis he had met Dr. Tuckeroo at his wagon on the town square, singing and playing his banjo. Tuckeroo had treated Bart's hand with a smelly, muddy salve that was guaranteed to cure hydrophobia, blood poisoning and restore tissue. Dr. Ellis believed Bart's story and was impressed that a quack such as Tuckeroo may have stumbled onto a genuine medical treatment and he wanted to meet him. When he asked Bart where Tuckeroo had gone, Bart told him he had gone to Alaska... or was it California?[1]
