Tulare Meadow
Meadow at the Miller Ranch near Little Bend, Texas[1] in 1867.[2]
Named for the tule rushes (Schoenoplectus acutus) growing along the banks of the Colorado River and Bee Cave Creek, which gave rise to the phrase "out in the toolies."[2]
In 1863, Burchard Miller established the Miller Ranch near Little Bend. He built his corral on Tulare Meadow.
The Miller cattle drive to Fort Adobe was organized at the corral on Tulare Meadow on the morning of August 12, 1867.
