Van Horne, John
American businessman and General Superintendent of the Western Union Telegraph Company in Louisville, Kentucky, from 1865 – 1878. (1824 – December 13, 1902)[1]
Brasada Spur: On September 14, 1872, Rufus Elgree received a Western Union telegram from "Blackburn" in Chicago. The masthead of the telegram listed Van Horne as General Superintendent of the Western Union Telegraph Company.[2]
