Waiter at the Bella Union Hotel in King City,[1] Kansas,[2] in 1872.[1] (February 22, 1817 – September 6, 1887)[2]

From his seat in the back corner of the hotel restaurant in August of 1872, Bart Maverick first saw the opulent treatment Belle Morgan and her friends received at their dining table. After watching Belle feed her pet terrier, Yum Yum, choice slices of veal from her plate, he asked the waiter to bring him the same thing the dog was having.[1]
